Dear Friends and Supporters,

For the past 8 years, the Fryburg Junior Marksmen Rifle team has been a thriving and competitive  precision shooting team. With your support, we have sent multiple shooters to the firing line, both locally and across the country, to compete against their piers and Olympic Medalists alike. Your support has provided the equipment, ammo, and travel funds to significantly impact multiple young lives.

We have racked up miles and memories from Dubois to Palmyra, Oil City to Murrysville, Akron to WVU,  Camp Perry, Ohio, the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, and on to Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. We have battled anxious nerves, long practice nights, snow, sleet, wind, rain, and 100 degree heat in order to chase the next personal record, a chance at finals and  medals, and we have championed the internal fortitude it takes to shoot a 10.9. Across these ranges and firing lines, our team has had the good fortune to meet some of the finest people we will ever know and have formed friendships that will last lifetimes.

The FJM team has always prided itself on being honest, helpful, patriotic, civic minded, and hard working, and our shooters exude sportsmanship, grit, and solid character. However, many of our shooters have moved on and some have simply aged out. It seems we have all reached a different season in life. Therefore, it is with bittersweet hearts that we have made the hard decision to dissolve the Fryburg Junior Marksmen Rifle team.

Thankfully, our remaining shooters intend to continue shooting independently, and we will be fully supporting them through the transition. Additionally, we will be donating supplies and equipment to other PA teams in accordance with our Bylaws. Please know that your support over the years will be perpetuated and handed down with great care so dozens more young shooters will continue to have the same opportunities.

We are so very thankful to have had your support over these years! Words simply cannot express our gratitude for the opportunities you helped us give these kids and for the fondest memories and friends we have made along the way.

With sincere thanks and warmest regards,

Julie Graf and Scott Fowkes, FJM Senior Coaches

We strive to provide local children with the opportunity to compete in precision rifle and air rifle shooting. National Rifle Association certified coaches provide instruction and teach gun safety and shooting techniques. Shooters have the opportunity to travel and compete in shooting matches across the country.
